The Journey so far

Olympus began with aspirants from the 6 IIMs applying to get a chance to represent their institute at the flagship event of Intaglio 2008. Their CVs and essays were reviewed by industry experts and 3 candidates from each institute were short listed.

These 18 candidates were then interviewed by senior executives from Reliance Industries. Their interview performance along with results of online polls in each of the 6 IIMs, to choose their representative for this prestigious event, determined the final list of 6 accomplished young men/women, whose photographs and pages you see on this blog. They are representing their institutes in the finals of Olympus.

Apart from fighting it out in this blog, these finalists will go through a series of structured activities over a 3 day period during Intaglio 2008, that will test every aspect of their leadership skills. In the process they will be evaluated by subordinates, peers, experts and the public (students from B-schools across the country). The Olympus! will walk away with a prize money of INR 1.5 lakhs and all the glory.

The Olympus Blog

Olympus is the flagship event of Intaglio, the IIM Calcutta International B-School Meet. It aims at identifying the most promising future leader amongst the students of the 6 IIMs. For more information on the event visit the Olympus Homepage.

This Blog is a platform for the 6 finalists (1 from each IIM) of Olympus to establish contact with the people who will play a significant role in deciding who rises to be the Olympus. Its a communication channel for them to put across their views on a diverse set of important issue. Each finalist has a page on this blog for these purposes. Their performance on the blog also carries a direct weightage in this final round.

For B-school students across the country and for that matter anyone else, this is a platform to share their opinion about the candidates and question them before deciding whom to vote for. This is also the place where they can get an hour by hour update on the event.
